Shock testing machines

(OP)
I'm trying to find information on shock testing machines that are used for environmental testing of packaged products. It needs to generate a peak acceleration of 100g, for a duration of 6msec, and has an acceleration profile of a half sine wave.

RE: Shock testing machines

There are a number of Vertical Drop Shock Machines that will meet your pulse parameters. AERO-NAV LABORATORIES in Queens N.Y have a very repeatable vertical drop shock machine. You can call ask them for a trial pulse.
Address: AERO-NAV Laboratories Inc.
         14-29 112th St.
         Collage Point, N.Y 11356

Other vertical drop shock machines and test facilities using controlled anvil is Lansmount Drop machine

RE: Shock testing machines

I'm not sure where you could get a machine, but, there are companies who do shock and vibration testing to certain mfrs specs.  Look at

They have an awesome earthquake machine.  Contact me if you need more info, maybe I could come up with a name and phone number.
