Operations Cost & ROI calcutions
Operations Cost & ROI calcutions
(OP)
Hello, just join this site yesterday and I am looking for help in how to indentify the operational cost associated with running a piece of capital equipment.(Terminal Sterilizer)
Things I'm currently considering:
Cost to Buy
Expected Product Lifetime
Size
%Utilization, and maximum capacity
Cost to install
Cost to validate
Annual Revalidation Cost 1%
Cost of Annula Maintenance 02% Purchase
Incrememtal Investment required $
Time need to load and unload
Is there anything short of purchasing an expensive software tool that can help me arrive at a sollution. Maybe a spreadsheet or website with formulations.
Thanks for you help!

RE: Operations Cost & ROI calcutions
Other important factors that you need to consider are: the cost of energy (Watts, Decanters) to operate it; personnel training cost (maintenance & operations); gauges & sensors calibration costs; labor costs to operate it (this is true if a person needs to be dedicated to operate it).
Do you already have this equipment or are you looking for one? If you are comparing equipment, you also need to compare: disposal costs; market value at the end of the equipment economic service time.
Good Luck.

Good morning. Thanks for the reply. Yes, we currently have the equipment. Your advice makes sense. I will add some of your important factors such as power requirements, gauge and sensor calibration costs, and direct labor. Thanks for helping me out. M.Parker

They have done a pretty good job with it.
