EPDM Automatic State Change on Check-in?

EPDM Automatic State Change on Check-in?

EPDM Automatic State Change on Check-in?

(OP)
So we have standard configurable components. Usually the states are at Production but when adding a config we change the state to Adding New Configuration. After adding the config and check-in the file a lot of our designers forget to advance the states back to Production.

Is there an administrative setting to automatically advance an EPDM State during check-in without having to create a variable with a manual input? Or is there something that can be linked to the Adding New Configuration State? Or does this need to be completed via a custom add-in?

Thanks,
Todd

RE: EPDM Automatic State Change on Check-in?

This might be achievable in the PDM Administration tool under Workflows. You might be able to add a new block that ensures the state from "Add New Configuration" is always "Production". Your Vault Administrator will have to change/look into this.
