Pack Rust/Crevice Corrosion on Riveted Steel Girders
Pack Rust/Crevice Corrosion on Riveted Steel Girders
(OP)
Hello!
I'm looking for more information on how to address pack rust/crevice corrosion between flange plates on built up riveted steel bridge girders. I found the post at the link below and I'm wondering if people have any further experience to share.

A bit of research leads me to consider a calcium sulfonate product to treat the pack rust specifically (e.g. http://www.termarust.com/). Does anyone have experience with this treatment, and its limitations? The only information I can seem to find regarding this treatment is promotional material.

Any help on this topic is much appreciated!
