I am looking for any requirements on tie spacing for shear in the new code. I cannot find anything pertinent. I thought there used to be a requirement for d/2 max spacing, has that been relaxed?

RE: ACI 318-14

d/2 is one-way shear distance from face of support where first stirrups need to occur so those stirrups pass through the failure plane - nothing has changes there.

RE: ACI 318-14

d/2 is a max spacing requirement. They do that to ensure there will be at least one stirrup within a 45 degree angle crack.

Thanks Cooper for the reference, that is what I was looking for.
