What are some other names for "green glass" used in generators. I must do some machining work and would like to find out some material properties.

Suggestion: Would you elaborate.
There are different generators around, e.g. visit

for electrical generators and green glass generators

The "green glass" is the insulating wedges for support of generator end windings. It is also the material used to electrically isolate from ground at industrial generator bearings, gaskets and bolt sleeve/washer combinations for flanged piping joints, and in our case it's used as a wall panel penetration for an isophase on a 225MVA Westinghouse Generator.
