Mechanical drawing question: What does (Banking Dim) mean?

What does (Banking Dim) mean? This comes from a "1971" manifold drawing. The material is a forging. Any help would be greatly appreciated...Thanks Darren

RE: Mechanical drawing question: What does (Banking Dim) mean?

Hi dcoy,

Are you sure it isn't a mis-print of "blanking dimension"?  This would make more sense in relation to forgings.

The "banking" dimension is on the drawing in two different locations. One location as a reference to the first. A miss print is probable but the dual and seperate entries both identified as "Banking" still leaves me in question.
Thanks.....Dcoy
