Partition of Cellular 3D Solid Structures

Partition of Cellular 3D Solid Structures

(OP)
Hello
[indent]
I am trying to perform static analysis on cellular 3D geometries (specifically-octet unit cell). I have initially created a rod as 3D part and arranged many instances of this rod to form a cellular structure. After this, I go on to merge the entire assembly to form a new part. Although, this is good enough for using tets, I want to run the analysis with brick elements. I have been trying to partition this structure but it has not been possible. Also I feel this might not be the most elegant way.

Is there a better way to create cellular 3D geometries to get them partitioned easily? Or are there any specific methods to partition such geometries?

Looking forward for some help.
