Codeware Compress how to model boot on equipment

Codeware Compress how to model boot on equipment

(OP)
Hello,

I am having trouble modeling a boot on a horizontal vessel. I attached the cylindrical section at a nozzle but the vessel has a conical reducer to a nozzle at the the bottom of the boot. Does anyone have any advise on how to model this correctly in Compress?

Thank you.

RE: Codeware Compress how to model boot on equipment

I can't seem to find a way to do this. You may have to model this using two different files in order to provide all the calcs, treating the boot as the entire vessel in the second file. I do this all the time for non-typical heat exchanger configurations.

Maybe someone else has a better solution.

You might want to see if this question has been asked and answered in forum1259: Codeware: COMPRESS. If not, then it's probably better to ask there.
