In EN 15614-1, the last paragraph of the item 7.4.5 says "Where multiple welding processes are qualified in a single test piece, impact test specimens shall be taken from the weld metal and HAZ that include each process"

Lets take a test piece with a thickness of 20mm welded with GTAW(3mm)+GMAW(17mm).Do I have to use sub-size specimen (2,5x10x55) for GTAW and standard test specimen (10x10x55) for GMAW? I mean, should only one process be present on each specimen?

RE: EN 15614-1 Charpy Impact Test for Multiple Process

No, you can draw single sample which includes each process.you can include sketch of drawn sample in report to show each process weld/HAZ is included.
