Sub assembly arrangements inside main assembly arrangement

Sub assembly arrangements inside main assembly arrangement

Sub assembly arrangements inside main assembly arrangement

(OP)
Hi there, long time lurker, first time poster.

I've searched but haven't found an answer to my query.

I have a main assembly in NX9 which contains two sub-assemblies. Each sub assembly has two arrangements.

I want to create arrangements in the main assembly which control which arrangements in the sub assemblies are selected. Can this be done?

Thanks

RE: Sub assembly arrangements inside main assembly arrangement

Yes quite easily actually.

All you need to do is go into your main assembly & create more arrangements with your sub-assemblies in their alternate arrangements as you require them.

What you will need to look out for is how the subassemblies are constrained in the assembly though.
Also change the sub-assembly arrangement BEFORE creating the new arrangement.
