Abaqus 2016 installation error

Abaqus 2016 installation error

Abaqus 2016 installation error

(OP)
I had tried to install abaqus 2016 on my windows 10 but every time i got this error message and another one like that when installing 3DEXPERIENCE_AbaqusSolver, please help me:

compilation of OM dictionaries failed: rc= 9

Technical details:

Action LaunchAppAction from feature CODE\win_b64\Administration failed.
Action ID: ObjectModelerDicoCompiler_Done
Private ID: 67907a0d92ca2fa67e633796b8eb87e682ec93820f2f0241cd211f18974ff483

Error code: Type: ERROR, Error: 1, Owner: 30a

RE: Abaqus 2016 installation error

I searched the knowledge base: "The installation can fail with this error message if any files in the installation package extend over 260 characters including the file path." Basically install to a shorter root directory. Are you changing from the defaults?

I also created a blog on how to install Abaqus 2016 and another one on installing on Windows 10

I hope this helps.

Thank you
I only changed installation directory from drive C: to drive D: and nothing more. (I had tried on drive C: too)
And I changed instalation directory to shorter path but the error messages are still remain an installation failed again. The errors are after copying files and while executing aplication on win_b64\code\bin\CATSTART... and the second error message is:
DSYAdmRegSrv failed: rc= 9.
Action LaunchAppAction from feature CODE\win_b64\Administration failed.
Action ID: SetRegserver_Done
Private ID: 057655ca35d0cfb9baf719169f47b0fa971e9df10fa05f3a19e88a6fc912ddd4

Error code: Type: ERROR, Error: 1, Owner: 30a

I attach the installation log files for more information.

RE: Abaqus 2016 installation error

Unfortunately the Zip file wouldn't download. It could also be that the installation files are nested too deep. Try placing the install files in something like C:\temp then install into the default locations.

I hope this helps.

Oh sorry, I can't download zip file and I don't know why?
I did what you said and put installation directory to E:\1 and installed on default location but did't work unfortunately.

I think the error messages could be related to 3DEXPERIENCE_AbaqusSolver\CODE\win_b64\Administration.zip file. could you upload it??

I uploaded Log files to another place: http://uploadboy.me/r77hlce2fbbl/SIMULIA_AbaqusSer...

Thanks for your aids.. :)

what the hell am i doing?!!!

RE: Abaqus 2016 installation error

I assume that is the OS environment variable that links to the commands directory. With that the OS recognizes the "abaqus" or "abq2016" commands in a prompt.

In Windows you can create that PATH variable by yourself with a SET command or you go into the windows settings, display the environment variables and add the directory to the PATH variable manually.
