Select Evaluated Value in Solidworks Properties

Select Evaluated Value in Solidworks Properties

(OP)
The Evaluated Value for Solidworks custom properties is not selectable. Is there any way to make it selectable? Would be useful to have filename ($PRP:"SW-File Name") generated and then I could grab and copy to part # and edited. Our filename is the part # and a description. Or, alternatively edit ($PRP:"SW-File Name") to remove any text after the space after the part #?

RE: Select Evaluated Value in Solidworks Properties

If you are not already using Custom Property Tab Builder you need to to avoid hassles like these.

Not selectable but returnable through API calls. However if you are going to do this then you can just get the filename through API calls and parse out what you want.
