(OP)
Dear All,
I want to model a water Tank. the tank is full of water and there is a lid on it. I am going to put a concentrated load upon the lead.
I do not know how to model it:
Abaqus standard/explicit:
when i model it, the difference between the tank full of water and empty tank is the same
Abaqus CFD:
as the water of my tank does not move, I do not know how to model the boundary condition. pressure on the end and at the lid of the tank is not specified. the velocity of the water I think is zero.
It will be very nice of you to help me

RE: water container

Why do want to include the water in the simulation? Is it because the incompressibility of the water might creat a opposite force against the deformation of the tank?

Then you should check the option Fluid Cavity.
See Analysis Users Guide 11.5 Surface-based fluid modeling
