Help with balloon leader

(OP)
Good Morning, We have recently upgraded to NX10 from 8.5, I am having an issue with the balloon when using it for partslist callouts. It seems to add an "extension line", and then I have to drag it around to get the desired location. I want to click on the part in question, such as an edge, drag and drop. How to I eliminate this "extension line" that seems to be a new addition to the balloon? See attached images:

This is what it does...I dont want the circled extension line:

This is what I want, with simple click, drag, drop:

RE: Help with balloon leader

"Click the edge drag and release for arrow position (one), click for balloon position (two)."

Another method is to "Select Terminating Object" under the "Leader" pull down in the menu field, prior to selecting the edge.

All previous releases automatically had this state active when the command was activated. It would be nice if his were the default and adding the extension was an optional state.

If anyone knows how to have the "Select Terminating Object" as part of the Customer Defaults, or part of a template file, I'd appreciate them sharing their knowledge.

RE: Help with balloon leader

Clicking "Select Terminating Objects" is faster than chasing the extension line, but it would be nice if you didn't have to do it every time.

RE: Help with balloon leader

You may need to look at your point selection toolbar and set to what you need.
