CONTROLLED VOLUME PUMP

CONTROLLED VOLUME PUMP

(OP)
Hi guys,

l have question regarding controlled volume pump(API 675)

i am preparing controlled volume pump datasheet. In that my lead told to me put in notes column.

Loss of mechanism is not acceptable.

what does it mean? please give some proper answer

RE: CONTROLLED VOLUME PUMP

It sounds like there could be an issue with translation from another language. As written, I would see no value in putting this statement into the notes on the datasheet. Perhaps your lead intends something such as "This service is critical and high reliability is required." I would suggest that you ask you lead what he or she intended.

RE: CONTROLLED VOLUME PUMP

It should be "Loss motion mechanism". It is a type of plunger return action design by a spring instead of the cam pulling it on the suction stroke. Typically used for low cost design application.

RE: CONTROLLED VOLUME PUMP

Lost Motion Mechanism.
