RE: Weight of Pipe Bend
Really quite straightforward.
Remember - More details = better answers
Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.
RE: Weight of Pipe Bend
On a straight piece of the pipe, some length longer than needed to make the bend, make two circumferential marks and measure between them. You can pick this pipe weight out of some tables or calc. it in the normal way; wall thickness, times mean pipe circumference, times the measured length. Make the bend in the pipe and then measure back from the two original circumferential marks, on straight pipe, to the start and end points of the bend, and subtract this pipe weight from the original pipe weight. You don’t really lose or gain any pipe, you just stretch it a small amount on one side and compress it a bit on the other. People who do pipe bending regularly could tell you in more detail.
