Connecting steel members of different depths

Connecting steel members of different depths

Connecting steel members of different depths

(OP)
I am modeling a steel fixture that is composed of standard W-shapes. Some of the members that connect together have different depths, and they do not connect at the centers of each members cross section. So, for example, I have a W40x149 that connects to a W14x90, and the top flanges are flush with one another. Is there a way to model the members connecting to one another off-center?

Change the insertion points of those elements by right clicking the member and then changing insertion points.
