I was hoping to post this update in an older thread but they are obviously closed.

I attended the NCSEA Summit last fall and many of us were in a discussion of the Shipping Container Home trend. It seems most of the engineers are lacking credible CAD technical drawings, and as you know there's a lot of junk out there now.

I was one of those who got involved in Container homes a few years back. At the time this forum guided me to the ISBU Association (Container Home Association). thread559-236545: Shipping Container Technical Drawings Required

The CAD from them was very affordable and the best out there, but wasn't usable in SolidWorks. To most I guess it didn't matter.

For those still out there wasting their time on all the supposed Shipping Container drawings (like I was), this post is for you.

I just got a newsletter from the association over the weekend advising they now had all the containers in high quality SolidWorks, Max, etc. Well I downloaded them, and yes! Spot on!

Here's the link: Link They said they'll be moving to a new updated website soon but say all links will be forwarded. Thanks to 'stuartmitch' for the heads up on this resource a few years ago.

RE: Shipping Container 3D CAD

Thanks for the update! I had found a few models on GrabCAD, but was unsure of their accuracy, though they were close enough for my purposes at the time.
