Transformation/Circulation Pattern

(OP)
How do you skip one particular object in a circular pattern? I made an object at the 6 o'clock position, and then I made 8 instances at 45 deg, so I got objects at the 12, 1.30, 3,4.30,6, 7.30, 9, and 10.30 o'clock positions. I want to eliminate the 12 o'clock object. I looked at the "more" options in the window, but no luck there. I know I can create the original object at the 1.30 o'clock position, and do 7 instances, but I was wondering if there is some smarter method out there

RE: Transformation/Circulation Pattern

While in the pattern definition dialog, you should be able to click on the orange points (in 3D) to deactivate specific instances of the pattern.
