RE: Digital Buck Data

In our shop, the term "buck" is used for a nesting surface for our foam pads. This term may vary from shop to shop?

RE: Digital Buck Data

i liked TDIMeister response and at our shop we are doing something similar. we have a digital buck data for all our composite parts because loading an assembly with composite parts takes a lot of time. all the files like 100mb and up with a lot of unneeded data for assemblies. i'm into aerospace.

RE: Digital Buck Data

Hi CAD2015!

Digital buck means the jt visualisation data that is used only for viewing, clash checking, clearance analysis. It is used in the Application called Teamcenter vismock up a product of SIEMENS.The CAD data from the teamcenter is converted to the jt format which is called as "digibuck" and the same is opened in vis mock up application for the purposes mentioned here.Hope it helps.
