Parts list - Adding dimensions

Parts list - Adding dimensions

Parts list - Adding dimensions

(OP)
Hi,

I am looking to alter my parts list in drafting to include dimensions of each part ie length, width, height. This will then be automated so that it updates for different configurations of a reuse file or part family.

I am currently thinking that the best way might be to create expressions based on measures from the driving sketch of the template file.

Is this the best way to do this?
How do I add columns for Length, Width and Height to the parts list?

Thanks,
Dan

RE: Parts list - Adding dimensions

You could also reference multiple expressions into an attribute that shows up in your parts list

Do some searching( Google) on this subject.
It has been discussed in numerous threads over the years.

Thanks for the feedback. Most of the stuff I have found on here involved boundings and journals which I didn't 100% follow.

For anyone interested however I found this really good pdf which has step by step instructions, I just altered this to read off measures and it seemed to do the job.
