Product Constrains Analysis

Product Constrains Analysis

Product Constrains Analysis

(OP)
Catia V5 Sketcher has the Sketch Analysis in order to identify and show the under-constrained/over-constrain (the Diagnostic tool) geometry.
I was wondering if CATProduct has something similar.
I work with many assemblies and some of them have a lot of constrains.
It takes a lot of time to verify if the Product is fully constrain, so finding a way to solve this issue would be extremely beneficial and efficient.

Thank you Drew and Ferdo!

Please, have a look at the picture....
How could I find out which components are/are not not fully constrained?
What this picture says?

If I'm not wrong, the table shows that I have three not constrained components, right?

Yes that is what the function says...

Also check the Degrees of freedom tab

Right. And make sure you're in the right product. What are you assembling? Is that a welded fluid container or tank of some sort? What are the units in the screenshot? Inches, millimeters?

I'm hoping to learn more about assembly constraint analysis from this thread.

Here's a simple little process I do to check my assembly constraints:
1. use the explode tool to move all the parts out of their constrained position
2. update the assembly to move all the parts back into position

The parts that are still in the exploded position are the parts that are not fully constrained.

drewmumaw,

Yes, it is a fluid container. Units: mm.

Thanks Jackk. Good idea!
