I have anyone tried the new 3d experience? In cloud or in premise? What do you think about it compared to v5

RE: Catia 3d experience

some improvement but not used to the GUI yet... it will take some time I guess.

How have you get used to manage files. Is it weird or it became simple to use. In terms of Modeling, is it more powerful?

RE: Catia 3d experience

Files are managed by system, you don't work file base so for some it might be very new. A PDM is a PDM, you can use the database just to save your files (very little training required, just the GUI, doing search, Explore, Open, Save...) or you can use many PDM/PLM functions even on the could. Would be foolish to think you can jump into 3DX PLM with no serious training.

Modeling capabilities are improved but this is just the way it goes with software, new release bring new functions. V5 R24 is better than V5 R16. Some new functions are not passed on V5 and only available on 3DX... too bad.
