What equipment or tool is rcommended or how does one identify which phase attribute a specific area in the building is on when the circuit is deep inside a commercial complex and without taking an outage.

One method is to use a voltmeter.

Another is with IEEE 1344 measurements.

Please be cognizant of the hazards associated with the first method.

Can you explain the voltmeter thought as the voltage at the source is much different than the voltage at the load
