Boiler/Furnace Modelling on a utility boiler.

Boiler/Furnace Modelling on a utility boiler.

Any suggestions on the following topic would be much appreciated.

I'm looking for a model that would be able to accurately model a conventional sub-critical utility boiler (oil in this case, although application in coal environment would be useful) that could take into account view angles (one model I have at present has problems with radiative heat transfer), slagging, soot deposits, fuel properties etc.  Would also be useful if it was possible to 'fit on' a basic back end of plant (HP,IP,LP turbines etc).

Am presently trawling the net etc looking at various solutions, but has anybody had any experience with any packages that may be suitable?  Am presently using 'Gatecycle' but need something more adaptable as part of the reason for this is to try and run the system quite a way from design conditions.

Many Thanks.
