Export as Parasolid X_T?

Export as Parasolid X_T?

Export as Parasolid X_T?

(OP)
Hi,

I need to send a file to a supplier and they are requesting a Parasolid X_T format. The file is a bunch of sheet body's and splines. I selected all the entities and selected export - Parasolid X_T and then it asks me for a name, I am not sure what it is asking for?

Thanks in advance!

John

RE: Export as Parasolid X_T?

That first "name" question, you can ignore, and just pick your data on the screen. I believe that is if you have some named geometry. The next dialog is where you name the parasolid file you are exporting.

RE: Export as Parasolid X_T?

That is the old "select by name" dialog. If you have given a name to an entity, you can enter the name and it will be selected. If you don't want to use the "select by name" method, simply select the entities on screen as normal then press OK.

Thanks for the replies!

RE: Export as Parasolid X_T?

FYI, Splines wont get exported via Parasolid.
only Sheets and solids.
You may want to send along an iges file with the wireframe

RE: Export as Parasolid X_T?

STEP translations also support curves, as well as sheet and solid bodies
