Italian Grade Metals

Italian Grade Metals

(OP)
I am looking for a domestic supplier for Italian Grade Metals such as the following:

FeP01 (BS EN 101130)

From my understanding, this hot dipped galvanized material is typically only supplied up to a 2mm thickness. Does anyone know of a supplier other than Parker Steel or Maryland Metrics who might supply this in a thicker size, even if it is an alternate alloy? I also understand that an alternative for this material might be the DX51D+Z (EN 10143).

Thank you!

RE: Italian Grade Metals

Hi,

Just a few comments:
- The grade is not specifically Italian, as BS EN standards apply to most European countries and UK.
- Since a few years it has been renamed DC01, so you may have better chances if you ask for it.
- It is a cold rolled steel intended for deep drawing, and this is likely the reason why it's not typically available above 2-3 mm.
- The alternative material you mention is hot dip coated, it's up to you to decide whether this is acceptable or not.
