Piping Design after Superheater Header - ASME B31.1 Power Piping

Piping Design after Superheater Header - ASME B31.1 Power Piping

Piping Design after Superheater Header - ASME B31.1 Power Piping

(OP)
Hi All,

I want to know your opionions/suggestions for my case.
A supercritical boiler operating operates 260 kg/cm2; 570 C at SH outlet header, and we have 2 permanent steam blowing lines tapped from SH outlet header ends.

Each steam blowing line is designed with 2 block valves (V1, V2)from and 1 MOV valve (V3). The line P91 upstream of V1 and V2 as well as the valves has the same rating with SH outlet header, while line after V2 up to silencer has lower rating (A106 gr B, DP/DT: 60 kg/cm2/420 C). My question is this line design complies with B31.1. The steam blowing will operate at P and T not more than 55 kg/cm2 and 400 C for only around 30 minutes during start-up and shutdown, while in operation all the block valves V1 and V2 will be closed.

Thanks all, i appreciate your feedback.

Have you read B31.1?
