2D view update "modifies" 3D file forcing to save it too

2D view update "modifies" 3D file forcing to save it too

Hello all.

I have a drawing that has many sheets. When I get this drawing from TCe, it opens with many views asking for an update (clock icon before sheet/view icon).

When I update the drawing, one of its components change status to modified.

Why this is happening? Why a drawing update is modifying 3D status?

Using TCe 10 and NX 9.

RE: 2D view update "modifies" 3D file forcing to save it too

Hello guys.. I'm still having this problem.

I have a component that have 4 levels in assembly structure.

Lower level is a single part with casting geometry on it.

Leveling it up I have a wave link geometry and some machining on it.

Leveling it up again, it has another wave link geometry and other machining operations on it.

And the last assembly level has other wave link geometry with more machining operations.

All of this 3D assembly structure was checked many times and have no critical errors. I have executed "Interpart Update/Update All" command, have opened all structure with "component fully" option and it is ok.

None of these commands change component status asking to save it on any level.

When I open a dataset that has the drawing with the last level machined component NX opens all views with out of date status. When I update the views, the component change status to modified....

Why this happens? What could be wrong? Is there some way that I can have a log showing why component is changing status to modified?
