WRITE LOCK PROBLEMS!

WRITE LOCK PROBLEMS!

WRITE LOCK PROBLEMS!

(OP)
I am working on a project using MS J and InRoads 8.2 with a proprietary cell library.  I am now suddenly unable to write cels to the design file as ink.  They will show and then disappear upon refresh.  Write lock is on, in pencil mode, ink delete lock is off. I can place a symbol, +, X, etc., then place the cel manually, then erase the symbol.  Not fun!  I must have something toggled in the preferences but am not well versed enough in InRoads to catch it.  Any ideas?  Thank you.

RE: WRITE LOCK PROBLEMS!

Are you assigning cells to be placed when creating structures?  It doesn't sound like it's a problem with the locks, although the fact that you can see the cell before you refresh your drawing is disturbing.  You may want to verify that the correct cell library is currently attached to your drawing, and that the appropriate preferences are loaded.

RE: WRITE LOCK PROBLEMS!

Just a thought - you might want to make sure that all service packs are installed for InRoads 8.2.  We had a similar problem placing cells with InRoads 8.1 that was resolved when we upgraded to InRoads 8.2 and with service pack 6.
