View dependent Edit on assembly level NX8,5

(OP)
I'm currently working on an assembly in NX8.5. I want to show some hidden lines on an assembly with the view dependent edit-function.
On a simple body part it seems to work: (RMB>Style> hidden lines checked, dashed -> view dependent edit > Edit entire objects> line font changed, apply and finally hidden lines set to invisible. Hooray Cheer Cheer

I've tried the same for a multi-body part or assembly and than NX it seems to ignore the edits. The edited lines show up in the view dependent edit, but as soon as I reset the hidden lines to invisible they are gone.

Is there a setting I should (not) check or is it a common issue in 8,5??

with regards

RE: View dependent Edit on assembly level NX8,5

Check if the views are of type exact...Then it doesn't work in NX8.5

views should be of Pre-NX8.5 type
