(OP)
I play (mostly) the mandolin and (leastly) the guitar. I play for therapy and to enjoy the challenge of learning new tunes. Mostly, it's old-time Appalachian, Celtic and Baroque music on the mandolin and it's, "Piedmont" blues on the guitar. I have a duet partner and we have all sorts of fun. I also go to local jams where the energy is like a drum circle and all the hair is gray.

My main mandolin is a 1920 Gibson A3, which I've owned for 30 years. I also have another f-hole mandolin that a buddy made for me. My guitar collection is Gibson, Taylor and Martin.

I don't golf!

RE: acoustic instruments

fattdad: how about uploading some of your music for the guys and gals of E-T to critique / enjoy.

It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)
