Hi,

Is it possible to add placement option in NX10 ?

Because it's time consuming to set this option in the settings menu

TIA

You can do this through Customization menu...
On the shortcuts tab you will find View type (when selected it will show the Rightclick menu)...Just drag the desired function in there...

Hi Tomas,

I am running 10.0.3.5

I know Arrowhead orientation,. I am talking about the old option "Placement" wich seems to be disappeared

We can find the setting in Drafting Preferences, but my customer would like to have under the right mouse button like NX8.5 (have a look at my first screen shot)

RE: Add placement option on right mouse button when placing dimension in NX10 (like NX8.5)

Sorry Didier, I don't understand what it is you are missing.
The image you show from NX 7.5 controls if the arrows are outside or inside, and a hardcoded option to center the dimension text+ automatic arrow placement. The other two are Arrows in and manual text placement / arrows out and manual text placement.

The arrows in NX10 seem , on my computer, to be automatic ... and i can now have both arrows in the same direction, whatever standard that might conform to...

Tomas

Hi Tomas,

We are missing the choice to have a manual or automatic placement with RMB.

Did you have NX8.5 to have a look ?

RE: Add placement option on right mouse button when placing dimension in NX10 (like NX8.5)

If you are talking about the Change in arrow placement directing towards inside or outside of a Dimension, we can Change that by double clicking on Dimension and click on any 1 End of Dimension where you see a Point. Select in or out as needed.

Shetty,
Using NX 10.0.1.4

RE: Add placement option on right mouse button when placing dimension in NX10 (like NX8.5)

But the automatic option( pre NX9) only centered as long as there was room, and flipped the text out when there wasn't room for the text.
In NX10, the placement is center by default, and arrows automatic, and you can drag it away from center but also snap back to the center position( without any menu interaction) - Do we need the previous option ?
What is it that we cannot do ?

Regards,
Tomas

Hi Tomas,

I thought that my answer (14 Mar 16 14:20) was clear
