Yes and no. This is not an error message but an information message.
and the reason is as you say, since the planes are infinite , the line will be cut by the screen edges and therefore non associative.
There is nothing in the part which defines how long and where on this vector the line will exist. Two planes only defines the vector.

If you replace one or both of the planes with a face, it will be associative since the length and position then has a definition.
