Hidden Bodies (in drafting views) vs. Adding view from Individual components

Hidden Bodies (in drafting views) vs. Adding view from Individual components

(OP)
Someone gave my a thread for a similar question but it did not come thru.

I have a weldment, and we draft the individual components on separate sheets in Weldment Assy. Currently the method is to use "add view of weldment and hide other component" because if the assembly is rev'd. the components will follow. I wanted to simplify the process by just adding a view of the component but it does not constantly follow the rev. also in the preferred method if another component is added to assy, I have to hide them in the other views/

Is this true or is there a better way?
