How do I create lines in drafting without having a dimension showing?

How do I create lines in drafting without having a dimension showing?

How do I create lines in drafting without having a dimension showing?

(OP)
The blueprint I'm creating needs to have a line between two datum features, but all I can do is do a linear dimension for the line BUT I don't wan't the distance between the two points displayed. It's not in any of the options to hide the number. I know I can create a curve on the print, but it doesn't have the arrows, like the dimension line does. Nx 8.5

RE: How do I create lines in drafting without having a dimension showing?

This might be considered cheating, but you could just create a dimension and then make the text size very very small. Small enough so that it will probably just show as a dot on the drawing. Set the preference for that dimension so that the text is above the dimension line so you don't get an open space in the line.

I've done this instead of editing the value in a dimension. We have to run a Checkmate program when submitting drawings for approval and it will flag an edited dimension. Then I just create a note to say what I want.

and set it to zero places passed the decimal

Also, You can expand the view by right clicking on the view and selecting the option Expand ,and use the Curve tool to create the line from the points of the edges.. Then once it is done, you can close the expand mode and you will back in drafting..

It won't allow text size under 1.0, which is very visible. Also when I expand the view, the curve/line tools are all grayed out, so I don't see how that's a possibility. Even if I could draw the lines myself, I still would want the arrow ends. Maybe I could keep the dimension but just make a white solid rectangle over the dimenstion? Any way to do this in NX 9? Thanks for the suggestions, I appreciate it!

Edit -> Annotation -> Text; replace the text with a space.
This will likely raise a flag if using Checkmate, but should work otherwise if I am correctly understanding your situation.
