Internal Projection Valve when Nozzle Repad is on Inside of Vessel

Internal Projection Valve when Nozzle Repad is on Inside of Vessel

(OP)
Hi Folks and Distinguished Experts,
This question pertains to having a repad for a Nozzle on the INSIDE of the vessel wall. For my "h" value per Fig UG-37.1, do I use the definition "distance nozzle projects beyond the inner surface of the vessel wall," or do I take the distance the nozzle projects beyond the repad?

Looking at the external example, the reinforcement area is "2.5*tn + te", thus the value of "2.5*tn" is only that portion that projects beyond the repad. It seems to be that this would represent "h"

So if my repad is on the inside and is 1/4" thick, and my nozzle projects 1" from the inner surface of the vessel wall, in the equation for A3, would I use h=1.0 or h=0.75" for "2h*ti*fr2"???

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
