Copying multiple part bodies and pasting into a single part.

Copying multiple part bodies and pasting into a single part.

Copying multiple part bodies and pasting into a single part.

(OP)
I have hundreds of "standard parts" instantiated in an assembly.

Now I want to copy all of the part bodies in each of the hundreds of parts and paste them all into a single detail part that will act as a collector for the parts.

I have not been able to find a way to select multiple part bodies from different parts and copy them all and then paste them into a detail. I have only been able to do this manually by expanding the tree, selecting a single part body and then copying it into my detail. Then I have to keep doing this process for each and every part in my assembly, which is hundreds of parts.

Does anyone have a method to accomplish what I'm asking? A helpful hint? A macro?

check the function CATProduct to CATPart in the tool menu while in Assembly Design workbench

@simkatu
You could also use Add to Associated Part in the Assembly Design workbench

Hi,
Only two ways.
1.Use CATproduct to part in the Assembly design workbench.
2.Macro.
