(OP)
Hi All

I have few four winding transformers (data) however our simulation software DIgSILENT PowerFactory does not have four winding transformer. The data is given as an example for one transformer.
22kV/690V/690V/415V
1MVA/1MVA/500kVA
4.48%/5.13%/7.18%.

I would like to seek an assistance in modelling the four winding Transformer for load flow and three/Single phase short circuit. I came to know from a reliable source, a four winding transformer can be modelled possibly with two three winding transformers. Does anybody know how we can create an equivalent model for four winding transformer using two or more three winding or two winding transformers. if yes, please assist me . I looked few books however I did not get any good explanation.
I want the equivalent impedances of four winding transformer in terms of two or more three winding transformers/Two winding transformer.

I would appreciate your assistance.

Regards
Simatic

RE: Hi All I have few four winding t

First of all you have to find out from manufacturer how the 4 windings are provided. There are several options possible. Transformer as per above link is in fact 2 independent 3 winding transformers so as to get 4 independent LVs. It is also possible to have one MV winding + 4 independent LVs, core-( LV1&2 one above other)MV ( LV3 &4 one above other).
