Section view in drafting help!

Section view in drafting help!

Section view in drafting help!

(OP)
Hello,
Working in NX10.
After creating section view of bolt assembly, is it possible to have bolt and nut show as not sectioned?
I have tried "show foreground" and "plane clipping in 'prospective'. neither of these works.

here is picture of what I want to achieve, it was very easy to do in CATIA.
notice how hardware is not sectioned.
Thanks

RE: Section view in drafting help!

Use the Edit -> View -> section in view command to specify which components to section/not section.

Exactly what I was looking for.

THANK YOU

RE: Section view in drafting help!

Apparently, NX 10 hides this command by default. Type in "section in view" in the command finder to use it. If it is something that you need to do often, use the customize command to put it somewhere that you can easily access it.
