Multiple section planes

Multiple section planes

Multiple section planes

(OP)
Is there a method or Option to create 2 or more section planes in 3-D at a time?

Shetty,
Using NX 10.0.1.4

RE: Multiple section planes

section planes , what type section are we speaking about ?
View section ?
Section planes to create section curves ?

Regards,
Tomas

I am speaking about the view section in 3D where we can see the inner section of parts.
Eg : Edit section. Here can have section view along any 1 plane(as far as I know)

Similarly,I wanted a section where I could have a look at inner section, with section planes along x & y axes simultaneously.

RE: Multiple section planes

The only options i think are available ( in the view section) are as seen in the attached image.
single plane, two planes , box.
( when using the box or two planes, pick the side/ plane to edit it.)

If you have the PMI license, maybe you can do more things with the PMI sections. I don't know.

Tomas

Sweet,
Thanks a ton Tomas.
It was dumb of me not to notice the drop down box in edit section.
But sadly it's functionality was limited to planes at 90 deg. to each other.

I tried out the PMI tab, and it has an Option 'section view' where we can create any desired section. It worked out perfectly as desired.

Thanks
