NX10 - problem with translators

NX10 - problem with translators

My company updated NX from 7.5 to NX10 and i've problem with stp translator - this one from nx10 just doesn't work.
What coul be reason, that translator of nx10 dosen't works?

RE: NX10 - problem with translators

Make sure that you have a version of 64bit Java installed ( http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp to download latest 64bit java).
Then you need to set a variable to tell NX where to find 64 bit Java once installed.

Windows Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings (Upper left) -> Environment Variables

Create a user or system variable (system better but you may not have privileges):

Variable Vame: UGII_JAVA_HOME
Variable Value: C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_73 (or the equivalent path on your system)

Prior to NX8, Java was installed with NX (NXJRE folder in the NX install).
Sun won't license Siemens to allow for Java to be installed with NX, so you must install separately (as above).
