NX CALLOUTS (PC NO) AUTOMATIC ASIGN, CONFIG,ETC

NX CALLOUTS (PC NO) AUTOMATIC ASIGN, CONFIG,ETC

(OP)
Hi Everybody,

I'm fairly new with NX and self trained (which makes it even worst). I'm having a huge headache trying to solve something that I'm sure must be really easy to fix. Here's the short story.

I've received a set of files from a vendor. For some reason when opening the main assembly drawing, NX re-assigned all CALLOUT numbers to all parts to 1 (Why?) causing the part list to look like this.

1 | - | 408
PC NO | PART NAME | QTY

When I manually change the callout to 1,2,3,4..... and update part list, It will put all callouts back to 1 (argh!). I don't want to use a custom attribute everything time i create a part list (specially for large assemblies) I'm sure NX has the capability to automatically assign unique identifiers to each part. I just don't know how to get there.

Help please!!

A frustrated novice NX user

RE: NX CALLOUTS (PC NO) AUTOMATIC ASIGN, CONFIG,ETC

I think that the key field for the parts list is set wrongly.
It's hard to explain but I made a video a while back that covers parts lists and explains what the key field is: https://vimeopro.com/phoenxplm/tips-and-tricks/vid...
