dashed line to 3dstudio meshes

(OP)
I use autocad only for printing 3d architectural models generated in 3dstudio max. I have tried to asign dashed line to ceilings and roofs in autocad but nothing happens. Is there a way to asign a linetype to a solid?. I work exporting to dwg from 3dsmax, and then opening the files in autocad.

thanks for your help

RE: dashed line to 3dstudio meshes

If non-continuous linetypes are assigned to AutoCAD 3d-solids, then they will display correctly in 2d-wireframe viewing mode.  As soon as you do a hide or view the object in hidden or rendered or shaded mode, the edges will display as continuous lines.
