What was the original file name?

What was the original file name?

What was the original file name?

(OP)
If I have imported a file, say a .step file into NX and saved it as something other than the original file name...is there a way to to go back and see what the original file name was? Maybe in properties or something like that?
Thanks in advance!

Thank you,
Trent
NX 9.0.3.4

RE: What was the original file name?

Any time that you perform a "save-as" on a file, an entry of the previous file name is written to the part history (information -> part -> part history). However, if you import a step file and save the NX file, it won't tell you the name of the step file that was imported. Import/Export operations are not saved in the part history. Also, if you rename the NX file at the OS level, NX won't know about it and no entry will be stored in the part history.
