RE: difference between end mill and drill bit
It is a capital mistake to theorise before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts. (Sherlock Holmes - A Scandal in Bohemia.)

You can do a search in McMaster-Carr
End Mill: Used for machining shapes/features from raw stock. Can also be used to make holes.
There are various types of end mills.
Drill bit: Drilling holes.

drill bits cut round holes with sharp tips in the axial direction.
Mill bits have sharp sides and are for cutting in the direction perpendicular to the axis.

Conventional twist drills are capable of cutting at their end face. They have overlapping end face cutting edges with a positive rake. They also have helical side reliefs that are designed to move the machined material away from the cutting location as efficiently as possible. Twist drills are not designed to remove material at their side edges.
With modern CNC milling machines, it is often more efficient to use an end mill for making larger diameter, close tolerance, shallow depth holes than it is to use twist drills. Twist drills are mostly used for making deep, small diameter holes. But this normally requires "pecking" the twist drill in and out of the hole to clear chips and keep the drill bit tip from wandering.
Reamers are designed to remove a small amount of material from the sides of an existing hole, to improve the hole's precision and smoothness. Reamers cut a bit on their leading edges and also on their sides.

Come, come now..., this is supposed to be a forum for tech and engineering professionals. Isn’t your question something akin to asking what’s the difference btwn. snow shoes and ballet slippers? Maybe the difference btwn. a feather duster and a bull dozer? I hope to hell you are not designing any airplanes.
