Dear all

am a field service engineer in oil field,, we r using new kind of motor called Permanent magnet motor,,,can any one send me manual for its theory of operation ,its principles, how its operate and different between it and induction motor.

RE: PMM

Very similar to a Brush-Less DC Motor.
Both are driven by an invertor which ramps the frequency and speed up so that the rotor may stay in step with the rotating magnetic field.
The BLCD runs on invertor produced AC, but uses an invertor fed by DC.
The permanent magnet motor is probably driven by an invertor fed by AC. AC in, rectified to DC, AC out.
