Joining 2 faces and using Isoparametric curves

(OP)
Hi all,

I am trying to create Isoparametric curve in NX 8.5 on surface which is not joined.
1st doubt : How can I join 2 surfaces (I tried using sew, join face and offset).
2nd doubt : On using the offset option, I am getting a new surface which is joined(I am not sure) but I am not able to use isoparam on whole surface along vertical direction. It is showing only on surface 1 (Refer attached Image).

Please help me asap. Let me know for any doubt.

Thanks,
Amit Pratap.
