ABAQUS Support Conditions

(OP)
Hi All,

I'm trying to model a concrete slab in ABAQUS under a UDL (nice and simple!).
I'm fairly new to using ABAQUS and software in general, so I wondered if you can help me.

Two of the sides of the concrete slab are simply supported, one side is continuous and the final side is free.

My question is, how do I model the simply supported edges and the continuous support in ABAQUS?
Do I treat the continuous support as a fixed support (i.e. U1=0, U2=0, U3=0)?
Do I release one of the directions for the simply supported edges (i.e. U1=0, U2=0, U3=X)?

Thank you in advance for any help you can provide!

Maybe an image would be useful.

RE: ABAQUS Support Conditions

For a simply supported edge, the beam is only allowed to rotate along one axis parallel to the edge. I'm not sure what you mean when you say continuous support.
